Ford Transit-150: Transport Cargo and Passengers in Holland

The Ford Transit-150 is a premium van that's available with up to 15 seats. Barber Ford offers this commercial vehicle in the cargo and passenger editions. Several roof heights and wheelbases are optional for this vehicle that's optimized to transport people and cargo around Zeeland and Allendale.

Engine Options

A gasoline-powered engine block with the Ti-VCT design is available in the Ford Transit. Displacing 3.7L, this V6 powertrain generates approximately 275 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. You can buy a special package that allows this naturally aspirated six-cylinder engine to burn propane or compressed natural gas.

Also featuring a V6 arrangement, the 3.5L EcoBoost engine whips out 310 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Two turbochargers operate at high RPM speeds inside this powerful propulsion system that's compatible only with unleaded gas.

Engineered to complete combustion using diesel fuel, the 3.2L engine has the Power Stroke label. Having an unconventional I-5 configuration, this class-exclusive powertrain makes up to 185 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. If you want to reduce emissions from this five-cylinder engine, fill the car's fuel tank with B20 diesel.

A six-speed gearbox is a perfect fit for this versatile Ford van. You can activate the Full Manual Function to gain extra control of the gear settings. Otherwise, the auto transmission requires minimal input from the driver thanks to the classic SelectShift function. A battery guard is another important piece of hardware that's optional under the hood of the Transit model. This part reduces strain on the entire powertrain when the ignition system starts.

Design & Features

This Ford van provides excellent utility for busy commercial drivers near Hudsonville and Byron Center. Having a 50/50 design, the hinged rear doors swing out to a total angle of 253 degrees. These best-in-class doors are available on models with a long wheelbase.

Power running boards allow the driver and passengers easy access to the cabin. Power-adjustable side mirrors with long arms provide wide-angle views of the car's wheels and corners. The versatile Transit also has the patented AutoLamp technology that's fully synchronized with the front windshield wipers. A defrosting system keeps the rear windows clear during inclement weather.
